英国埃塞克斯大学中英翻译口译项目（研究生方向）主任，高级翻译讲师。英国考切斯特（COLCHESTER）市市长交替口译，加拿大政府指定口译与翻译人员，中英双边知识产权研讨会交替口译，联合国大会，联合国安理会，联合国金融危机峰会翻译员，曾赴欧美多国担任会议口译。
一、《翻译硕士职业化发展现状》讲座

主要内容：
a. Status quo of translation and interpreting market
b. Introduction to the Department of Language and Linguistics, University of Essex
c. The strengths of the Chinese-English Translation and Interpreting Programme
d. Objectives of the programme and employability of graduates
二、高级翻译面试
面试时间：2013 年4月11日下午16:00--18:30（名额仅限5个）
讲座地点：华侨大学泉州校区侨总图书馆捷中楼三楼报告厅
面试流程如下：
1. Self-introduction and Q&As (in English)
Candidates of PG Dip should be able to show their interest/passion and very basic understanding of translation and/or interpreting. Candidates are expected to have the basic proficiency of English speaking. Candidates with no translation and/or interpreting background should be able to illustrate their background, first degree, activities participated or work experience, if applicable.
2. Sight interpreting (in English and Chinese)
Candidates are expected to interpret two short written texts (given by the interviewer on site) - one in English and one in Chinese. This is to test the candidates’ coping techniques on language transformation between Chinese and English. Topics are to be provided on site.
3. Consecutive interpreting (in English and Chinese)
Two speech recordings will be played to the candidate - one in English and one in Chinese. Candidates may take notes while listening. Topics are to be provided on site.
4. Chinese Proficiency Test (in Chinese)
Candidates are expected to give a 2-minute impromptu speech in Chinese on a topic given by the interviewer on site. This is to test the candidates’ Chinese proficiency.
面试报名要求：专业背景不限，对高级翻译感兴趣，具备一定英语能力的同学即可
讲座无须报名即可直接参加，面试必须先电话报名后才能参加。
